No future of work

Spatial design for the leisure-time society

Because of the rise of AI and robotics there will be no need for physical work in the near future. The usage, shape and daily-life of our cities, our private and semi-private spaces and of course the architecture will change into more leisure-oriented ways.

This shift will be effective in the long run and will not occur all of a sudden, so the future will rather look and feel more tinkered like ‘blade runner’ or ‘star wars’ than polished like ‘star trek’.

The participants will identify and analyze places and spaces in Warsaw which are about to become obsolete under the predefined scenario. In a second step they’ll propose alternative leisure-time oriented usages for those places.
